Ceol na gConallach – The Donegal Sessions – Saturday. 22nd August
The renowned fiddle players Jimmy and Peter Campbell from Glenties are the special guests on this Saturday's (22nd Aug.) 'Ceol na gConallach' concert in Áislann Chill Chartha. Domhnall Mac a'Bhaird one of Ireland's finest traditional singers, now resident in Cork and originally from Teelin, is the featured singer.
Dominic and Brian Gallagher, two of a new generation of fine traditional musicians from south west Donegal on fiddle and tin whistle, will open the concert at 8.30 pm. Doors open at 8.00 pm. Refreshments served and everyone welcome.
The final concert of the 'Summer' Season takes place next Saturday, 29th. The special guests are the Glasgow based Friel Sisters (Síle and Clare).
