Carrick Seniors Club

Carrick has a long tradition of Fóroige in the area since the first Macra na Tuaithe club was formed in 1975 and ever since there has been a club in the area apart from a spell from 2000 to 2009. This year we are proud to say we have a Fóroige Junior Club (club leader Katie McShane) that caters for 10-12 year olds has 14 members in it and the Fóroige Club (club Leader James Byrne) which has over 20 members and for the clubs to work it’s the hard work of the leaders who give up their time every week to be at meetings and supervise the children. Over the next few months the clubs will take part in fund raising events and participate in local projects in the area which will be of benefit to them and the area, first up both clubs will have tables at the Áislann Cill Chartha Christmas Market on Sunday 6th December from 12-3pm and we ask for parents, family and friends to support them at this event.
