Oiche Aoine seen two coach loads of Letterkenny teens head off to west Donegal to a BEO gig hosted by Colaiste na Carraige.

One hour and 30 mins later, Grainne from the BEO Committee comments we can't still be in Donegal!

The crew were on their way to see Daothí O Dronaí the Galway based Clare man who had a song featuring his grandmother "The Mary Keane Introduction" go viral just before Christmas.

It looked like the entire town of Carrick was waiting for the Letterkenny teens as there seemed to be hundreds waiting outside the west Donegal School. Two coaches rolling into town on Friday night seemed to generate quite a bit of excitement.

Táfailte roimh uilig go Colaiste na Carraige was the welcome from the CNC BEO committee led by Lanty and Joan.

The music started with locals the Skinns who entertained admirably in spite of drummer Denis Byrne being away at college.

Next up and new to performing game are Reabhloideach from the Abbey Vocational school. These girls look like they are at home on the stage and we are all waiting to see if they will be able to back up their first original song written for Comórtas BEO back in October. The girls will be preforming for the forthcoming BEO event in Letterkenny on February 5th.

Headliner Daithí didn't disappoint and had the 250 plus crowd bouncing to well-honed set list which ended with the excellent Mary Keans Introduction.

Great credit to the hosts from in through who insisted Gaeilge was the language of the night and making all those making the long trip feel very welcome.

Next up for BEO is Feb 5h when superstar Óisin Mc Conville rolls into town to educate the Youth of Donegal about the dangers of GAMBLING. There will also be a gig on the night headlined by local lads CLANNS and Derry DJ Mick Lockin.
