NINE MILE WALK IN SUPPORT OF CARRICK CHURCH

Covid 19 has made its presence felt in almost every home in one way or another - physically, emotionally and/or financially. One home that sometimes gets forgotten about is our spiritual home, our local church where we all, at one time or another, seek refuge and solace or visit our dearly departed family and friends in the adjoining graveyard.  Covid 19 has left many churches bereft of funding hence the walk to collect funding for St. Columba’s Church, Carrick.

Route: Meenaneary Chapel – Carrick – Teelin Pier – Clogher Road – Carrick car park

You can join the walk at any point along the way; it’s not about the distance but the participation.   We have fifteen weeks to prepare so get motivated and start walking now to make this a great family outing.   All level of walkers welcome.  A registration fee of €20 per person will apply.  All children under 15 will be exempt from the fee.  On registration, each participant receives a ticket number. At the pit stops a draw will take place for a prize to encourage everyone to keep moving.

We will finish at Carrick carpark with a welcome cuppa and sandwich.

A funding page will be set up shortly. Watch this space and social media for further updates.
