Here's a romantic story sent in by Joe Gallagher that took place linking Rinn na Cille, Garbh Ros and Arranmore that took place in the 1820's between the Lyons Family of Rinn na Cille and Garbh Ros and the Greene Family of Arranmore!
Some years ago our local Ladies and the Ladies of Arranmore made a Commemorative Quilt (see photo above) in memory of the event. Also, Lillis Long of Dunkinelly and Letterkenny wrote a Musical about the event and the Bruckless Drownings. It was performed in Ballybofey, Killybegs, Kilcar and Glencolmcille.
