An Triú Domhnach den Chaisc 26th April 2020

Masses and Exposition this week continues to be cancelled with the direction given by Diocese and State. Private Masses booked will be celebrated by Fr Denis G on dates booked.

Times of Distress

How can we create a stronghold against the negative elements that sometimes enter our lives?

We need firstly to be aware of who our enemy is. Sometimes, our worst enemy can be ourself and, without realising it, we give in and cause ourself an untold amount of suffering. Every person has several weak points, but our strength comes from knowing where they are, when they are active and what to do when we are in a state of weakness. That may be the time to call on God, to ask Him to help us out, to give Him the chance to show us that He loves us.

His help can come in many different ways. Perhaps just talking to a friend, reading an inspiring book or watching a funny movie.

Thought

Be gentle with yourself when you are weak. Do something creative you really enjoy.

Graveyard

The Graveyard is a place of rest and a garden for our loved ones who have gone to God. In recent times I have noted large amounts of waste material  (e.g old wreaths, extra clay, stone) being dumped. This has caused me great concern, I would immediately ask all people to bring their waste home and all workers to bring waste away. I thank the scheme workers for their cutting of grass this week.
