The death has occurred of Teresa Mulkern, nee McNelis, New York and formerly of Ballard, Glencolmcille,Co Donegal in New York on Tuesday 17th September 2024. Predeceased by her husband Patrick (2011). Will be sadly missed by Kevin, Rita (Maurice, Co Limerick) Patrick (Sinead, Co Donegal), Brian and Geraldine (Ciarán, NY). As well as her adoring grandchildren; Ciara, Áine, Sean, Aidan, Dylan, Cian, Caitlin, Ellen and her loving sister Rita McGinley, Malinbeg.

 

Arriving at Shannon Airport on Tuesday morning 24th September, travelling to St Columba's Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille, Co Donegal to arrive for 7pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday morning at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.


Ivan Tucker – 15 September 

St Columba's Close, Carrick

We are deeply saddened to share the peaceful passing of Ivan Tucker, surrounded by his loving family. Our hearts go out to his wife Rachel Ward Tucker, their daughters Edith and Clare, and to his parents Gerry and Louise, as well as his brothers David, Niall and their wives Fiona and Aneela. Ivan will be missed by his nieces Ina, Seren, Sophie, Bethan, Róisín, Claragh and his nephew Eoin, along with his extended family, friends and neighbours. Our sympathies also extend to Rachel’s mother Libby, (wife and mother to the late Donal and Edith Ward) and her brother Michael and his wife Ornagh. We also wish to acknowledge the great support of Rachel’s cousin Deirdre Hardiman, who has been a tremendous help to the family.

 

He was immensely proud of their daughters, Edith and Clare and their achievements brought him great joy. Ivan, in turn, gave great joy to all who knew him. May his family find strength and comfort in each other and those around them during this difficult time. His absence will be deeply felt by all.

 

Arriving at his late residence at Naomh Columba Clos for 2pm Monday via Ard Crinn. House is strictly private as per Ivan’s wishes. Removal to St. Columba’s Church, Carrick on Tuesday 17th September for 7pm to repose overnight. Funeral Mass at 11am Wednesday 18th with removal from there to Lakelands Crematorium afterwards for cremation.

Conal Doherty – 10 September

The peaceful death has occurred of Conal Doherty, sadly missed by his wife Anne, his brothers, John and Joe, his sisters, Maire and Annie Celine, his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Conal's remains will repose at Mc Cabes Funeral Home, Ardara (F94 VCK1) on Wednesday (11th September) from 7.30pm until 9.30pm, and again on Thursday from 10.30am until 6.30pm with removal from there at 6.45pm to St Patricks Church, Meenaneary (travelling via Glengesh), to arrive at 7.30pm, to repose overnight. Sean's remains are currently reposing at his late residence until removal tomorrow evening to St.Columba's Church, Carrick for 6pm. Sean's funeral mass will take place on Friday morning at 11.00 am in St. Columba's Church, Carrick with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.


Bríd Cannon – 8 August

The death has occurred of Bríd Cannon, Farnmcbride, Glencolmcille, Donegal, peacefully in the loving company of her family, and under the kind care of the staff at the Harbour Lights Nursing Home, Killybegs. Beloved Wife to Kenneth and dearest Mum to Caitríona (Darren) and James (Anita) and adored Nana to Grace. Predeceased by Kenneth, her sister Mary and brother Philip, parents Gerald and Grace. Loving and much loved mother of Miriam, Michael, Elizabeth, Mark, Deirdre, Grainne and Annette, adored grandmother of her 19 grandchildren and sister to Thérese (Boyle), Séan, Grainne (O'Malley) and the late Liam and Dermot and mother in law to Ottmar, Elizabeth, Austin, Olive, Diarmuid, Ritchie and Adrian, also deeply regretted by her sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Bridget passed away peacefully in her 103rd year in the excellent care of the staff at Killybegs Community Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends. Úna Binsack (née McNelis), Ballymore, Teelin passed away peacefully in the excellent care of the nurses and staff of Killybegs Community Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Florian, Úna will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Peggy, her nieces and nephews, cousins and wide circle of relatives, neighbours and friends. Úna’s remains will be arriving at St. Columba’s Church, Carrick on Monday 4th December at 7pm where she will repose overnight.
