Thanks to all who nominated candidates for the upcoming Coiste Forbartha na Carraige elections, we have five of the current committee running along with ten candidates who accepted their nominations.

 

The elections will be held in The Old School this Saturday 23rd November from 11-4pm, anyone over 18 years of age living or working in Carrick Development District can vote. Thanks to the committee members who are standing down for their work over their terms

 

Those standing for the elections are:

The District comprises the following townlands: Meenaveen, Creeven, Meenawaughran, Carrick Upper, Carrick Lower, and the Carrick settlement area. The Carrick Settlement Area includes the houses in the Parish of Kilcar on the Bogagh Road and on the Line Road to the farthest extent of the Football Field. This includes those working part-time and owners of holiday homes.

Nomination forms are available at Carrick Post Office, Carrick Meats, Byrnes Foodstore Carrick and Carrick Day Care Centre.

People over 18 years of age and older may be nominated and you may make more than one nomination per person. The nomination forms should include the nominee’s contact number and/or address.
