Deireadh Seachtaine Seoladh Leabhair!

Seolfar go hoifigiúil, Scéal Spóirt Scoile 1950-2020, cnuasach de scéalta spóirt a bhaineann le Coláiste na Carraige / Ceard Scoil na Carraige, ag deireadh seachtaine athchaidrimh i mí Lúnasa 2022.

Beidh Ceiliúradh ar siúl thar an deireadh seachtaine 6ú-7ú Lúnasa. I measc na n-imeachtaí beidh taispeántas de shean-ghrianghrafanna agus earraí cuimhneacháin ón scoil. Seolfar an leabhair i gColáiste na Carraige Dé Satharn an 6ú Lúnasa agus beidh oíche cheiliúrtha ins an Blue Haven ar an 7ú.

Bhí an leabhar, a bhfuiltear ag dréim leis le fada, le foilsiú ar dtús in 2020. Tá altanna ann scríofa ag iarscoláirí agus múinteoirí ag clúdadh réimse leathan de spóirt: peil, cispheil, spórt eachtraíochta agus lúthchleasaíocht ina measc. Tá na heagarthóirí ag súil gur foinse pléisiúir a bhéas ann do léitheoirí ar feadh na mblianta amach romhainn.

Book Launch Weekend!

Scéal Spóirt Scoile 1950-2020, a book recording stories of sport at Coláiste na Carraige / Carrick Vocational School will be officially launched at a reunion weekend in August 2022.

A Ceiliúradh will be held over 6-7th August, planned events include an exhibition of old photographs and memorabilia from the school, the launch of the book in Coláiste na Carraige on Saturday 6th August, and a celebration night in the Blue Haven on the 7th.

The long-awaited book was originally due to be published in 2020. It contains articles written by past pupils and teachers covering a diverse range of sports including football, basketball, adventure sports, and athletics. The editors hope that it will be source of enjoyment to readers for years to come.
